Man sends severed human foot to Conservative Party of Canada

The second-floor apartment was the home of Luka Rocco Magnotta, 29, the leading suspect in a murder and dismemberment case that began after a man’s torso was found stuffed in a locked suitcase in Montreal.
Police say Mr. Magnotta, a model and adult-film actor, is believed to be from Toronto and repeatedly used aliases and changed his name over the years. He was Eric Clinton Kirk Newman until he changed his name in 2006.
He is wanted in connection with the delivery of a human left foot to the Conservative Party of Canada headquarters.
A packaged hand, intercepted by Ottawa police, was also addressed to be delivered to Liberal Party offices, a source said.
Full StoryMr. Magnotta flew to France on May 25th, the day of the murder. He has been added to Interpol's most wanted list.

The victim of suspected killer Luka Rocco Magnotta is Lin Jun, a Chinese student at Concordia University who was last seen in public the day before the suitcase with the human torso was discovered, Montreal police have confirmed.

My friends, we're now in a time of this world where news has to go above and beyond the normal headlines of "Victim found shot dead outside of home" and go for the shock factor of just how gruesome and gory they can make a story.
Fascinating. I've always been curious what it is that drives people to do stuff like this. I can't even fathom inflicting any amount of unnecessary pain to someone, much less dismembering and sending their body parts out.
