I never knew that for every button on the internet that asks you for a file (e.g. browse or choose file button) for an upload or something you can just drag a file onto the button and it auto copies the path for you. No more clicking through file directories. Never knew that, 15 years on the internet.
e.g. if you're not using quick reply and using the real reply there should be a upload attachment thing, try dragging a file there to test if you want, auto copy path without navigation.
Anyways, share anything you found out that you think might be common knowledge but people might not know and is super useful, doesn't have to be internet related.

I have to say my internet browsing experience went up when I realized IE sucks for a browser, but is perfect for porn.

You can do it for attachments in GMail too, along with many other places.
I think the best thing for me was finding out the wheel scroll button opens a link in a new tab and also closes tabs and opens a bookmark in a new tab. Haven't found many (any?) useful things in the past..idk 5 years though.
Search engine options are pretty useful to know I guess, though google dropped verbatim searches using the '+' sign not long ago (as in if you want to search for something EXACTLY as typed, you'd type +whateverYouAreSearching), though to turn this back on you can click 'More search tools -> Verbatim' on the bottom left of the google page.
You can also use the minus sign to drop things from searches..as in
cookie recipe -peanuts
would get you decent results for cookie recipes that don't have the word peanuts on the page the google bot searched through. It's generally more helpful than using the word "without" which gives much more mixed results..
Cool shit right?

-Not internet but windows, found that by right clicking the taskbar I can get the task manager(was always using ctrl+alt+delete)
-Opera gestures, now I'm too used to them that sometimes I accidentally use them in explorer, much more easier navigation with them, at first it was telling me that I used a gesture and if I want to turn gestures on and I'm like wtf I didn't use anything.
-something similar to yours, I can drag a picture into my msn personal picture instead of going through "browse".
-pressing y then tab in chrome's address bar gets me directly to youtube search.
those are the things I knew lately.

I have the latest Chrome, but when I drag a pic to Google image search to search by image, I get an error.

I didn't know about ctrl shift esc for a long time and only used ctrl alt delete. On XP it doesn't really matter which one to use, but on Vista and 7 there is a difference, I had XP before so I used ctrl shift escape very rarely.

wait oops. I thought it said ctrl+shitf+esc which is the Tsk Manager.
I've no idea what ctrl+alt+esc does.

It seems that Ctrl+alt+esc terminates programs but it is disabled on many computers afaik.
It can be helpful if a program crashes.

I recently found that you can close Resident Evil 4 with just Alt+F4. The game has no exit option anywhere. I didn't try that before because it doesn't work with most games.
And if you didn't know, you can open start menu and ctrl+shift+rightclick on or around the Shut Down button and choose Exit Explorer to close Explorer without killing the process from Task Manager. Works on 7 and Vista, dunno about XP.

That clicking with the mouse wheel opens links in a new tab. The internet is for porn. F5 is refresh lol. Ctrl+shift+esc solves a lot of shit. Adblocker makes life a lit easier. Putting your "searches in quotations" in Google means searching for exact terms and adding a dash or minus -sign means removing searches that contains the term.

Some stuff:
Alt + Tab to change between programs
Alt + Shift + Tab Switches between your last 2 open programs.
Hold down the Start button and then press the Tab key to activate the Flip 3D feature.
Related to internet:
Ctrl + Tab to get the next tab, if you are opening multiple tabs.
Ctrl + W to close your current tab.

This is probably the one that improved my experience the most. You can do it for a lot of websites, and from where you can search depends on how often you use them. "u" searches from Urban Dictionary, "imd" from IMDb, "w" from WoWHead, "wi" from Wikipedia, etc. I freakin' love the omnibar.
Also, CTRL+Shift+N takes me to happy places

Most people know this but windows + e for my computer, windows + d for desktop, windows + tab if you're too cool for alt + tab (need aero mode or something enabled), windows + r for run (basically only use this when I had to exit explorer and then need to start explorer again or for fast cmd prompt or regedit or something).
Think those are all the ones I actually use on a day to day basis (cept windows + r). If you use a mac **** you.
