Just had an idea, wanted to start hosting pics for SRF

this prevents you guys from having to upload to imageshack and etc

Rules:

Same rules of SRF (basically keep it LEGAL LEGAL LEGAL!!!!!!!!!)
Also, the images uploaded, I do not own, and do not take ownership, I am just a holder of the content, and by uploading the image you give me permission to hold your content for image hosting only.

That sounds pretty good...

The idea is nice. I don't think I would use it though, since I already use a great one. If your gallery could be connected with your SRF acc it would be very cool. The best thing would probably be the upload being built into this site, just running on a different database and server.

That would increase bandwidth usage for Ryoko, maybe costing him extra money. I pay a pretty penny to have unmetered bandwidth

Its a good idea, but if your site ever goes down, so does our content does it not?

The content will go down yes, but if that were to ever happen I'd give a warning ahead of time. The content is backed up twice. Even if Gaigetech doesn't succeed I'll still be purchasing my web hosting + domain long after.

Same, I stopped using ImageShack and now I'm using tinypic, but will use that one because it has no verification code (I guess?)

Tinypic ftw, the verification code is easy and if you actually do type that wrong, you're a retard.

you can copy the link for your imagine really fast before the account popup shows up xD.
That's how I was doing it for a while, then I switched to imgur.

currently can't connect. Also last time it gave me errors when I tried to upload a test image. It just acted like the upload page didn't exist. Maybe it has issues with Opera?
Btw, maybe you should add an extension limit. first thing I did was attempt to upload a song xD.

EDIT: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com says it works fine. Maybe your server isn't accessible outside usa? Only open to specific IP's?

Actually that may be a problem. We started banning ips from certain countries that like to breach our systems + ddos, hmmmm

Sounds kinda odd that Denmark got banned. It's not like we're known as a country from which a lot of DDOS attacks are sent

If you guys are willing, could you submit your ip range so we can unblock it (not your full ip, but the range so if changes it most likely won't be blocked) this of course only applies to the people who cannot access the page

simple really, go to http://whatismyip.com and grab the all of digits expect for the last segment

(e.g. 184.57.87.xx[xxx])

sometimes even 184.57.xx.xx will do

alright, the guy who is in charge of the box is away atm, but I'll give him all the ip ranges asap. I apologize for the inconvenience. So in the meanwhile anyone who is blocked and wants to use the service, and is willing to toss up their ip range, do so with a post or a private message to me. The ip ranges will not be shared with anyone other than myself and the administrator of the box, privacy you will have.


EDIT: The admin of system is currently in the hospital, he went there yesterday and will be there for 3 days (2 days left,) he needs to get some kidney stones removed
