Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea
As the race for 4th place hots up here in England, Newcastle vs Chelsea last night was a massive match as both teams could still go for 4th or even 3rd.

Soccer highlights just seem so....dull. Like ok, he kicked the ball and it went into the net.

That goal also made me shock.

Well, let's see.

Howard Webb will be the referee for Newcastle - City.
Newcastle will have to fight hard for the 4th place, in order to qualify for the champions league. If they lose or draw, Tottenham can take 4th. So they are going to give everything to win.
And of course Cisse.

Sure of course there's some skill involved. It just seems like soccer highlights are so boring compared to football or even basketball highlights. Football you see someone get a huge hit it's exciting. Or run a kick off for a touchdown that's intense. Basketball you watch someone dunk clear over a guy and it's awesome.

Basketball I'll give you has some boring shots, but watching someone dunk clear over someone else is insane. Football that guy grabbed the ball, started running, and dodged a bunch of 250+ lb guys on his way to the end zone. Soccer someone falls down and clutches their ankle if someone looks at them funny.

I wasn't even trying to make a legit point about basketball or american football. I was just trying to show you that you're describing football in the lamest way possible just because you don't like it. It's cool that you don't like football, but dumbing the sport down to "Soccer it's like...he kicked the ball from far away...and it went in." is not really a useful or fair comment that people in a football thread are going to appreciate.

I think you can only appriciate such highlights if you have experienced how dificult it really is and what skills it takes to pull this off.

Not really dumbing down the sport as a whole, just the clip. That would be silly to judge the whole sport based on one clip. He posted a clip, I watched the clip, I commented that it looked pretty boring.

I think he means the response from the crowd which was pretty silent. They were playing away so not many people were gonna go off from newcastle scoring lol.

Now all I can see is... "This video has been removed by the user. Sorry about that." lulz

No, I was talking about the goal itself. Soccer highlights like that just seem boring. Like sure there may be cool clips, but that one was just boring.
