Laptop Charger fix ?

So i have this hp laptop for like 2 years, it is working well but i have some problems with the charger.
The charger is composed of two parts:
1- The part that reaches the power supply.
2- Some kind of electricity convertor attached with a wire that reaches the laptop.
I am quite sure that the electricity passes through the first part reaching the electricity convertor (or whatever it is called), But it doesn't go any further.
And yeah the mother board isn't damaged afaik.
That charger is kinda new (less than 4 months old) but it just stopped working yesterday for no obvious reason (i gave it to my brother, next morning it wasn't working, he doesn't remember anything unusual).
I will buy another one if i have to, but i prefer not if possible.
Tried moving the wire, another power supply, using an air blower to clean the laptop (i dunno why but i thought it might help), removing the battery, but nothing that i could think of really helped and google didn't really help.
So yeah i am out of ideas and wondering if you can even fix a charger without getting a new one.
