New (Unlocked) phone help

(Assuming Unlocked phones means contract free AKA works with any provider by just inserting the desire sim. for text and phone calls, that's it)

Let's cut the crap and get to the point :o

-don't bother to afford a data plan
-something to text with a lot (organized, easy to text, fast interface etc)
-wifi (a must, main purpose)
-Android Market (a must)

which one? (narrowed to 2)
Samsung Captivate - at $254
Spoiler!

Samsung i997 Infuse 4G - at $376.99
Spoiler!

Honorable suggestions:
Samsung Galaxy Ace Ace (Heard the battery runs pretty fast, it's a no-no for me)

Motorola Milestone (good phone touch + qwerty kb but it's not an android device and the support is bad)

Samsung Nexus S

Please vote and tell me why, otherwise which one would you suggest (but out of those 3 which one you like the most).

http://geekaphone.com/compare/Samsung-I ... te#sensors
Comparison tells me to get Infuse (mini HDMIout, faster etc), but the needs (just texts, some calls and occasionally Websurfin over wifi), the fact I have a tablet and the price tells me to get Captivate.
Thanks!

True, a qwerty kb does help when Texting. I text a hell of a lot. I recently had to delete a Thread of texts with a person, because trying to load that Thread took a while, since we were at around 8,400 texts. With that person alone. and I've had this phone since just March of 2011. Thats about 700 texts a month, with 1 person.

The Samsung Galaxy S i've heard nothing but good things about so far, and they are the first ones to be released with Ice Cream Sandwich. So you get that leg up on the competition.

If i qualify for a Hardware upgrade (Stupid Telus) i will be going for that phone. I currently use a HTC Desire HD.

Out of those options, I'd go for HTC Inspire.

All the phones you've listed run on android, and all the interfaces look more or less the same. All of them have swype capability (for texting) along with the market.. Check which phone gets the newest version of android first and go for that..unless you plan to custom mod it.

 So I am guessing you do at least text every minute. However, I actually own a super lag qwerty phone. The reason I hate it now is because the lag of the interface and the hesitation to press every key. it had gotten really stressful.

Thanks for your response guys, I'll be still deciding and buying it on my next paycheck. Although, I have to say the Samsung Nexus S is selling me.
I think the only Ice Cream sandwich is the Samsung Nexus S. I can stick with Gingerbread.

Just updated my tablet to the latest Android OS 4.0.3, really gorgeous and totally responsive.
