Despite the horribly bad idea, the action scenes actually look good. it's just WHYYYYY!??!
I'm curious how it will turn out. It looks high budget, and the fact that Tim Burton is producing it (producing not directing) could mean there's more to it than meets the eye. Tim is known for his interesting works and I can't imagine him supporting something that's just plain and stupid.
still though...

Exactly my thought! When I first read the title I thought it was some fan-made comedy trailer or something.

...You do know this movie is based off a best selling book? Educate yourselves before you bash on the movie.
For the movie itself, we will see if it as good as the book.

Does the fact that a book has sold a lot make the title any better? I think not. I was purely judging by the title, which I believe I have the right to do

The trailer showed me the exact opposite of what I wanted to see. Whether or not I'll take the time to watch this movie depends on 2factors: whether or not they used the persona of Abraham Lincoln as a device to convey a message or perspective, rather than just a cheap name used to grab peoples attention, and whether or not they actually use the vampires as something more than just a device symbolising destruction and chaos. Vampires, at their core, are incredibly interesting creatures with traits that, when used correctly, can convey such powerful messages. Watch a good vampire movie, better yet a decent vampire anime, and you'll see what I mean. Abraham Lincoln, well, I don't have to go into detail about his stature. Yet all I saw from that clip was a few actions scenes, a bunch of special effects and nothing to tell me that this film will have any depth at all. I know, it's just a trailer and you shouldn't judge a film on a few snippets. But they choose what they want to focus on in order to grab their market audience and a trailer it usually a reflection of this. unless i see some dam good reviews, I'll give it a skip.

It could be based on the best book of all times and still come out a shit movie, and vice-versa.

Maybe we aren't judging it off the name. Maybe, just maybe, what you define as decent and what I define as decent are two completely different things. The trailer I saw had no depth, a bunch of silly special affects and some cheesy action scenes. Maybe I have high standards but it takes more than that to entertain me.
