Just had my dearly beloved dog put to sleep after 14 years
because of old age and health issues.

It's really heartbreaking decision to put down a beloved pets down.
Even though I knew it was coming.
But... why the hell they can't die naturally? I think it's much easier.

Anyways, R.I.P He will be greatly missed

If its any consolation your age has lived just 2 years shy of the life expectancy of a caveman. I'm sure he's lived a long and pleasure-filled life, remember the good times you've had and be glad he's not in pain any more.

Same as my dog She was 15, and got put down about 5 years ago, when I was in Grade 8. Cried for the rest of the week.

Yeah! I think so too.
Well, he was not himself at all. He had a some episode he couldn't even lift himself up off the ground, and ended up wetting himself.
And sometimes.. I noticed that he was breathing very heavy. Well.. he had a lot of bad symptom in the last few days.

My friend's dog would have epilepsia and run in walls in the weeks before he was taken down.
I just hope my dog doesnt get to that point.

His name was.. Roy, Shepherd/Husky mix.

He lived a good life, I'm sure.

My dog died last year. He was poisoned by someone in our village(our dog lived in our cottage). Then he was in so much pain and there was nothing that could be done. So my father had his friend to put the dog to sleep with his rifle. I wasn't around when this happened and i hadn't been to our cottage for quite some time.

We have had a total of 3 dogs and some 10 cats. When we lived in our cottage every day, we had 4 cats and a dog once.

But anyways, may your dog RIP.

I'm so sorry, that's awful. Seriously... How can someone be such a heartles "jerks?

My dog used to like wandering around at night. Maybe someone didn't like it and gave him poisoned food.
