Hey guys Its almost black friday and I want to buy stuff early for college since the best deals are on that day.
My sister is also heading to college and she would like to know what is a good laptop that can she can buy. She doesn't play games or anything, just standard browsing.
Her limit is 1000$ on the laptop and it would be preferred if it is a brand that can be found at Best Buy or Wal-mart or Sears. If there are any places that have the black friday deals online it would be appreciated as well.

As for me I am indecisive about whether I want a PC or a laptop. I do want to do some heavy gaming on the computer but I don't know which one would benefit me more for college a laptop or a PC...

Depends on the college you go to and the study you will be doing. If it requires you being in classes alot and working on project at school alot then a laptop will be much more beneficial. If not a desktop would do the trick much better IMO.

As for your sis, 1k$ for a school laptop is way way way too much x) She should be done with half, maybe a bit more if it's just for browsing and textwriting and shit.

Can't really help on those brands or specific laptops though as I'm not familiar with those stores :/

If you don't already have a laptop you need one for college regardless of your major.

If she doesn't game, just get her a mac. It's like an accessory for them.

A $200 laptop that goes on sale during black friday or a cheap netbook. Saved you $800. Since she isn't doing anything by the sound of it that would require a better cpu/gpu/ram then the cheapest is sufficient.

Really depends on what school work she will be doing.

As for you just refer to the picture. It's a good guide on building a computer.

Spoiler!
