I was considering Bootcamp, running Windows alone, however it requires a CD with the Bootcamp files which I dont know if I got, would possibly buy Lion as it supposedly would have the cd. Not sure if getting Lion is worth it, Im apple-dumb. Dont know if this makes sense
Fraps/Mac/Windows Question
Fraps/Mac/Windows Question
I have an iMac, which I run SRO on because it is a better computer then my Laptop to do so. I have Windows 7, run it through parallels. When i try to use Fraps, the FPS drops to like 10-20 max. Any ideas what I can do to help this? Id really like to record.

Re: Fraps/Mac/Windows Question
Fraps requires more then anything a large hard disk in terms of space as well as it being fast 7'200rpm and above. Having a good processor and graphics card will help you record smoother footage at high resolutions too (not that mac's really have this).
Try recording at half size and at smaller resolutions to see if you get an increase in fps, this is mainly a hardware issue though.
Use google for you're other question, it will have plenty of info about the subject.
