Blah... I find it odd how people always act either racist or they sugar-coat the entire situation. No, being black does not make you act like a violent uneducated thug. Living in an impoverished neighborhood filled with criminals where you are likely to get robbed, killed, raped, or harassed in every corner - which, in most cases (in US urban areas), are filled with Blacks and/or Hispanics - usually makes people act like violent uneducated thugs.
There's a reason most people would prefer to walk around white suburban neighborhoods or Asian communities at night instead of, say, the Bronx.
