Two-faced cat earns Guinness world record

A local cat has made it into the new edition of the "Guinness World Records"
What an amazing cat!
WORCESTER — Frank and Louie is a cat who was born with two faces, so he has two names. Does that mean he has 18 lives?
It almost seems so now that he has earned a spot as the longest lived Janus cat in the new edition of the Guinness World Records (Guinness has dropped the word “book” from the name in this digital age).
The cat's owner is a Worcester woman named Marty, who asked that her last name not be used to shield her identity and her unusual pet from curiosity seekers. She has owned Frank and Louie since a local breeder brought him into Tufts Veterinary Clinic to be euthanized when he was a day old.
Marty was a veterinary nurse at Tufts at the time and offered to take him home.
The prognosis, however, was not good. Janus cats, named after the Roman god with two faces, are extremely rare and seldom live more than a few days after being born. Often they die within hours. But under Marty's dedicated care Frank and Louie flourished. He turned 12 years old on Sept. 8.

Why? Why not.. Just go out and euthenize all the handicapped people.. while you are at it?
Well, the cat doesn’t care that he has two faces. And the cat seems to be in pretty good health.

12 years? Wow, good on the lady for taking care of it and helping it to live a normal life.

no i agree with ganja. we don't speak cat and will never understand if or how badly this cat has been living in pain for the last 12 years. this is so sad. if i was born with 2 faces i would have told my parents to kill me as soon as i could speak two words.

^Yes, you dont speak cat (neither do i) and so we dont know whether it likes life or doesnt.

Anyone with any basic level of intelligence can understand when an animal is happy, scared, sad, hungry, excited etc etc. You don't need words to convey emotions. If this cat was truly in pain and miserable, the owner would of picked up on it quite easily. Not to mention she's a veterinary nurse, so if there were any underlining diseases or illness keeping the animal in misery, she would of found it.

there is no such thing as perfection as it does not exist however i do believe "life" in its simple design can be considered as close to perfect as can be found
