So, we have an NFL topic, surely there are some college football fans here!? So grab a cold one, have a seat, and lets talk football!

Week 4 Schedule: Week 4

Who you got? What are your favorite teams? Etc.

I root for SFA (Southland Conference) and Texas A&M (Big 12-2, soon to be SEC). Went to the Idaho/A&M game last week, going to the A&M/OSU game this weekend. Kyle field is unbelievable on game day. Hoping WV beats LSU.

Videos, pics, opinions, etc welcome.

To the SEC we go!

i have no favorite teams really Maine and BC usually aren't very good and Maine hasn't been in a bowl game in fucking forever.

I usually just watch the big games on saturday and enjoy it, usually pick a team to cheer for that game.

Only game i am calling this week is i have a feeling West Virginia is gonna take down LSU :sohappy:

Wisconsin of course... Wish they didn't have such an easy schedule this year, I think they could easily challenge any other team out there.

Last week I stood next to a guy at the game who did his undergrad at Wisconsin and now his graduate at A&M, it was his first game at Kyle field, pretty cool dude. /Random coolstorybro

Cinci will beat NCS by 21
BYU over UCF by at least 7

That's my Thur/Friday picks. More major picks tomorrow when I go through my pick-em. :P

I dont really watch college football, just what evers on on saturdays and the hyped up games. I live in Florida, and my family supports the Gators since some of them went to UF.

I dont know whats going on, but stuff like switching to big ten or pac 10 or whatever sub divisions are confusing and are on espn all day -_-

OSU over A&M, more because I want OSU to win because i greatly dislike A&M/Aggies/college station and their whole attitude in general. LSU> WV, low scoring game, lower scoring game for WV. Tech> Nevada, Wreck'Em

I respect A&M and their team, just wish they weren't shuffling conferences even though its what's best for the school. Sad to see the Texas/A&M rivalry end though :(

At least Tech has the PAC-12 looking at them and isn't going to be left out in the cold like the other small schools of the Big-12. Also, the SEC and A&M are willing to keep up the tradition. It's Dodds who doesn't want it anymore. A&M still wants it, Texas doesn't. :(

As for Baylor, I hope they end up in the WAC or CUSA where they belong.

Just looked into it and that's sad, it wouldn't be that hard to schedule the game(i'm assuming), if they really wanted to. H

Won't lie I want to hate on this thread once again but I won't and is not really for a good reason = /

Talking about how you play the sport has my full support however.

I think Texas is frustrated that they don't have control over everything like they are used to so this is there way of "getting back at" A&M. Once it cools off we'll see what happens. Like I said, the SEC and A&M are willing to adjust the schedule so that the Thanksgiving game can continue.

Can't wait for this weekend! Whoop! :D

Love, what don't you like about college football and/or what is your reason for hating the thread? We can keep a civil discussion I'm sure. All things NCAA football is welcome here, even people against it or this thread. (Again, as long as it stays civil)

My problem is this:

Image

I don't support the glorification/worshiping of others. Particularly so when it's for what I qualify as a non-thing. I think all these people could be much more if they themselves pursued these interests.

Fair enough, but I don't know if I would define it as glorification or worship, I think support is a better word. It's also a great place to gather with friends, have a good time, and meet people. Tailgating specifically.

Are you against movie theaters, concerts, political rallies, etc? I assume yes.

I see it as a fun hobby. You can't try to philosophize and save the world 24/7. :P

Also, the 85,000+ people at the Baylor vs Texas A&M game on Oct 15 will be wearing white and waving maroon towels. All purchased in support of the wildfire relief here in Texas. So it's not a complete waste as you see it.

Purpose of supporting a stranger with a trivial skill ?

Don't think I'll be going for any debate here but that was a quick question that I intended to reveal something else, also I understand that letting you enjoy yourself is the correct path of action as no world saving will be taking place here after all.

Many issues with that statement.

Never in my life have I seen a 3rd quarter collapse like that. A&M was 100% dominating in the first half (obviously)... props to OSU for making the halftime adjustments like they have for the past 3 years. Honestly though, we threw it away to them. A&M completely changed up its play calling. They started going to the air and Tanny kept trying to force throws, hence the INT's. Why we didn't keep it on the ground I'll never know. Seriously, we have two NFL caliber backs and were up by 17... and went to the air. You don't go into the half up 20-3, at home, and lose games. Pathetic.

I'm sunburned, hoarse, and sad. 12th man was amazing today, it just wasn't enough. Arkansas next week!

As for the other games today, my picks were all over the place.

Oh, SFA lost also, fml lol.

A&M is officially in the SEC now. Finally.

We'll definitely have to learn to keep it on the ground if we want to survive in the SEC.

Personally, I think all the conference changes have been ridiculous. Maybe they should just get rid of the whole format, and come up with something new.
