How to fix sleep schedule?

So school is starting on Tuesday for me. Summer has got me sleeping at 2am-3am and waking up at 12pm-1pm.

I'm going to try staying up all night tonight then sleeping at 11pm.

Hopefully this doesn't mess my sleep schedule up even more.

Has anyone tried this or have any suggestions?

Go to bed on your normal time and force yourself out of bed at a earlier time, like 9am at first. That or do alot of stuff during the day so you'll be physically tired at night.

9am sounds a bit late lol. Give yourself time to get ready, so maybe 1 n a half/2 hours before your school starts?

Well if he goes to bed at 2/3am it's a bit too much to ask to wake up at 7 don't you think? lol

Going to bed early while you don't want to sleep is a hell, Go to sleep when you feel that you want to then wake up early, next day you'll start feeling sleepy earlier, and that's it.

Lol, 22 hours of sleep doesn't sound fun.

Kinda too late haha. but i'm gonna be physically drained by the end of the day from sleep deprivation.

Exactly how I feel. I hate going to bed early when I don't want to sleep. I just end up laying there for what feels like forever.

It's actually 10 hours  haha. If I said I went to bed at 2am then woke up at 12am, then that would be 22 hours.

Skip one day of sleep. No joke.

I use to go to bed 6 am, 7 am and wake up 2 pm 3 pm; One day, I didn't sleep and went to bed 9:56 pm that day. Woke up like 10 am, and now it's fixed. I go to bed like 12 and wake up 8 or 9.

Thanks for the reassurance; currently doing that right now.

I have "some" experience on this

Let me tell you - and trust me on this - you are much better off forcing yourself out of bed earlier, rather than pulling a full all nighter.

The feeling you get at 7-9 am when your body clock resets, and then later at 2-4 PM is very, very, very awful. You'll want to just sleep. you MUST sleep at that point.

Set your alarm (if you have a smartphone set like 10 alarms spread out over 1 hour) and get out of bed.

I used to sleep at 1-2am everyday (felt shit the other day even though i got like 12 hours of sleep), then i just started going to sleep at 9-10 (was very tired from practices etc) to wake up at 5:30. Now i wake up at 7 even if i went to sleep at like 1 -_-'

Just take one day to do more phy work than usual and go to sleep earlier.

Don't use the pc withing a few hours of bed time. Skip dinner and don't eat anything after lunch and eat something when you want to start waking up.

This will reset your hunger clock and sleeping clock at the same time. The light from a tv or monitor makes your body think it's still day time.

As for me, sleep at whatever time you want and force you to wake up early as your school needs. Yeah bud, the first morning gonna be harsh but that day at night you'll be tired enough to go sleep soon and your sleep will be fixed in no time. No need to struggle all day staying awake, it's pretty bad for the health even if it's only 1 day. I've done that and woah, never again.
