"Seven Deadly Sins" are in fact all instinctual to human nature.. So it shouldn't be considered sins. Right?

Lust. BRB - Sin to have the urge to procreate the species... a genetically programmed trait 'given' to us by a creator who then turned around and deemed it a sin.

I don't even...

You killed the thread with "suck" which I do t really know what you mean with that. I'd be better if you asked something like "which of the 7 sins suits you the most?" or something like that :l

Without regards to the negative views of the Bible on those:

All 7 of them have the potential to either affect us and others positively or negatively. It all depends on the context but if I had to choose which one is the most pathetic trait, that would have to be 'sloth'. I don't agree that they're "sins" - but then again, I was Catholic so I understand people's obsession with guilt and self-loathing.

none of them suck unless you have too much of it.

Example without greed we wouldn't have a lot of products that we have today.

I think greed is the ultimate worst one of them all....This "me" and "mines" mentality causes so much suffering and death. Just look at the stuff we buy.... We support the greed of so many corporations who continuously take advantage of the less fortunate....We only consider our families and friends and rarely go outside that circle to extend any form of generosity. And that is just 2 of over a thousand examples.

In terms of actual physical harm caused, gluttony would be the worse.

greed.
I'd say greed is the base for all the other 'sins'. Maybe morally unsavory is better?
Greed is an excessive desire to have more and more. Most of the 'sins' are selfish in that they are done for only one's self either through their own action or inaction.
Spoiler!
I call it greed because they do not choose stop the intake of their vice and subsequently they have less to offer. They have less to offer because of their (in)voluntary greed.

I know it's horribly worded and the ideas are skewed. I probably could've put more thought into it.
Sounded better in my head.

Well i choose lust since, i heard a research about it, that males around world think about sex 9X-ish% of the time throughout the day, which is true. Cuz srsly, I do.

Well tbh all of it are dangerous it just sometimes depends on what situation your into and if you have ever practiced self-discipline.

A quote i've heard from History Channel's: "Seven Deadly Sins" about envy, which i find it very interesting is that:
"With Envy there is no Peace, without it there is no Progress".

In which you can think about it that its not that all bad :/

EDIT: FOUND IT!

Code: Select all
I was planning to search for the quote but ended up watching the whole vid.

I wouldn't consider them "sins". All are bad though, some worse than others, but none is the worst imo.

In my opinion the worst things(ugh, sins) on that list are sloth and gluttony. Usually combined. People with these "traits" are a burden to their families, society and themselves.

When it comes to those ten I'd say Loneliness and Age are,my biggest fears. Sacrifice comes in close after that...

Don't feel very Nihilistic anyways...

Make a thread with a,poll for those too, see wgich is the worst. Though some are fears to die in that way others are things that can surely kill you...

I don't know why people are hating on "Greed". A lot of good things come out of greed; people's motivations in life often stem out of greed. Their desire to "succeed" does not usually equate to being able to afford necessities - it's to gain more. The ones that do not have the drive or are too lazy to do so (Sloths) usually end up as the bottom-scrapping tax-money-sucking leeches of society. The kind of adults that still depend on their parents and collects money from the government instead of working for their families.

I wouldn't say that greed gives growth to motivation in the way you explain it. idk. I can't explain my thoughts. Gonna make a new thread brb.

The one that is without sins should be honored... cuz its impossible.. most of those on the list are human nature.

Idk which one that is the worst.. Since I simply dont think about my sins on a daily basis.

Greed, as it can lead to the other six.

But a little of each of them, won't hurt.

So can Pride.

Pride is hurt, Wrath comes in. Someone has better than you, Envy and greed comes in. Object obtained, the Proud one becomes slothy and can become gluttonous.

Let me rephrase: "What's so bad about lust that it's the worst 'sin'?"
