I find it rather silly how they made the Champions League work.
It should be one CHAMPION, as the name says, from every country that gets to participate. Also, a Dutch team gets 1/4th of the money of a German team for example, if they get to participate. Purely because of TV rights. Small countries are basically screwed with this system xD

Also, in the Netherlands a football team cannot have a huge amount of debt, Where say .. a Manchester United has like 1,6 billion euros? of debt and Real Madrid just has the gov buy a few parking spaces for 500 million euros each.

Most matches are fun to watch still, so i guess for a neutral watcher it's a good thing.

Where to begin.... lol

Check your football history and you will see that the Champions League/European Cup did infact
only be for the winners of each league instead of the top 4 teams for a country. And was changed
for various reasons.

TV revenue money has NOTHING to do with UEFA, its all out fault that teams from smaller footballing
nations get "screwed" because the majority of football audiences (us) what to see the best teams
play against each other...rather then small teams with players we havent heard of. As such
matches as such Barca vs AC Milan in the group stage will be a big draw for audiences and as
such these two clubs will recieve a nice share of the money. where as a match between a Dutch
and a Turkish team wont. Likewise the further a team gets within the champions league the
more money it gets.

And with the new UEFA finacial rules in place no team within European competition, either
the Europa League or the Champions League can we spending more then it makes...i.e clubs
have to be show to be in a healthy finacial situation. Man Utd are currently 400m in debt...
i honestly dont know where the hell you got a figure like 1.6billion from?!?! lol..and given
their current sponsorship deals and future plans to float the club in asia could see their debt
cut from 400m down to 200m or even 100m by the end of the next two finacial years.
These teams all have plans and as such dont seem to be breaking any of the new rules...now
am not saying what their doing is above board or even legal (not that i would know either way
anyway).

They've done well to lower their debt then ^^ I don't follow their financial position or anything, i know it used to be 1,2 billion and rising fast a few years ago.
I did know that it used to be for winners of every league, which is exactly the reason why i brought it up even. In some ways i simply liked that system better, i do indeed understand however that not many neutral viewers feel like seeing two 'no name' league winners go up against each other, rather than Barcelona v AC Milan or something similar.

Group A and Group E = some nice matches

@LilDevil Do you really think that leagues like say, the one in Holland deserve the same amount of spots as leagues in England and Germany (which are much better)
Man U. it self isnt in debt, its the owners that have the debt (but obviously they fck up United as they will use its revenues to pay the debt)
Real madrid, now, would be considered in debt since they spent beyond their means or w/e.

The 'little' leagues have become training leagues for the 'bigger' leagues because of the ridiculous spending culture big clubs have and are allowed to have, which is not possible in the Netherlands by law. We have a 'little' league, because good players will simply be bought at relatively ridiculous prices our clubs can't refuse, which is a shame. If for example Ajax would have a debt of 30 million that would be considered huge, Whereas a 600 million debt to Real Madrid would be of no significance. This however does not mean that Ajax is simply a lesser club training wise or even in regards to the prices they've won. The only English club to have more champions leagues won than Ajax would be Liverpool (In all around prices won Ajax is no. 5 in the world).
The fact that the Netherlands is ranked first in the world on the FIFA ranking while we have a fairly low quality league shows that i guess, for Dutch people who like football that's a shame, as there are indeed many leagues that are more fun to watch than our own league.

What's the big deal about Dutch anyways? They aren't so good anyway? maybe only when you fuse them and put Marwijk as trainer then they have chance to compete to other teams in CL

Well if Dutch teams do better in the CL they would get more spots, its simple. If every team had 1 spot, Ajax would most likely always represent Dutch's league, while teams like Chelsea and Real madrid wouldnt be going to the CL.
And what do you think about teams from say, serbia, Dont they deserve one spot atleast as well? And Albania, Greece, etc.

Ducth teams are amazing...Holland produces some of
the best young players in the world and their clubs have a deep and extremly rich history not only within European competions but also at a international level when Holland introduced the world to "Total Football".

Also champions league postions are given out based on how teams from a country do within Europe....so given how Man Utd have reached 3 finals in 4 years, and within the last 5 season english clubs have made it to at least the semi finals then it means as a whole England are given more points then say teams from Bulgaria who struggle just to make it through the qualification matches.

And as for Holland, Well given how its been a while since a Dutch team as done exceptionally well consently within the competions they (the Holland FA) have only been given 2 Champions League postions....and if you think its because they are from a "small" country then think again.

Because anyone watching the draw would of noticed that dispite winning Serie A, AC Milan were only second seeded teams..why you ask? that a league winning team isnt a first seed? Well because in recent years AC Milan have been awful within Europe and on the whole apart form Inter Milan winning a few years back in Spain Italian teams have been bad in the EL and CL...in fact if this tread of poor European showings continues then by next year Germany could replace Italy as the 3rd ranked footballing nation within Europe and take the Italians 4 CL spots, forcing them back down to 3 spots.

About the debt thing of FC´s, it is rediculous that clubs like Real Madrid and Man Utd. are allowed to have debts of hundreds of millions. While my own FC, MVV was almost history thanks to a debt of 1.6 million euros. 109 years of football history, and almost gone thanks to a ´silly´ debt of 1.6 million.

Strict actions should be taken against clubs with high debts, in Holland if a club doesn´t get its financial situation fixed in 3 years, its football license is taken away and is not allowed to participate in the league anymore. The commercialization of modern football is taking drastic forms and it´s changing football rapidly.

I´ll just leave this here, it´s not about Fulham FC itself, but about the message of the video.

- Against modern football.

Man Utd's debt wasnt their own doing, it was caused by the dumbass Glazers getting loans to buy the club and then putting the debt on Man utd :palm:. Same for Liverpool. If anything they should make it harder for people to just take loans and buy clubs, fcking up the club on the way.

Now Real madrid's and Barcelona's debt was their own fault, but for some reason Real Madrid's debt never catches up to them (mostly because of bribing etc in Madrid..)
