Got myself the new HTC Sensation today, its good. Fast, responsive, good touch screen and latest version of android. I'm stil bit unsure i liked the phone when i first seen it and reviews are rather good least the ones iv read but its a new phone anything can happen as you wear it in.
Anyways this is my first android phone what apps are worth getting or are the must haves, i know androids are a bit different from apple but i only know they have a bad habit of keeping all your apps open is there an app to stop that? anything else i should know about the android system aswell like how to get the most out of it?
edit// to fix bad grammar xD

Angry birds is a pretty fun game,
There is Advanced task killer but you can easily stop running programs via hitting the menu button then going to settings and running services.
Uhmm... yea.

Android market angry birds, angry birds season, and angry birds rio is all free.
Beautiful widgets is a paid app but a lot more customization.
LogMeIn Ignition allows you to access your computer from your phone.
SNESoid lets you play super nintendo games.

I'd suggest getting a news app and a weather app if they didn't come pre-loaded.

Here are some of the best and most important Applications I have installed on my HTC Desire.
These are all tested by myself, and they're very neat!
To easily close all running games/apps: Advanced Task Killer
For a nicer battery view: Battery Booster
In order to keep track on your 3G internet usage: 3G Watchdog
Best anti-virus (if you want one): Lookout Mobile Security
As of games, here are some cool ones:
- Cube of Atlantis
- Death Worm
- Doodle Dash
- Dragon, Fly!
- Fruit Slice
- YooNinja Free
- Game Dev Story (watch out, it's very addicting!)
- Unblock Me Free
- World Series of Poker
Other VERY cool, nice and just plain helpful apps:
-AppBrain App Market
- Dolphin Browse mini (or Dolphin Browser HD). THIS BROWSER IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)!!!!
- FML
- MP3 Music Download
- News360
- OI File
- Quickmark (to read those quickmark thingies)
- Runtastic (if you often run/exercise)
- Shazam (if you ever sit in the car, listening to the radio and wonder what the name of that song is!)
- SwiftKey X (This is a different keyboard, which I personally find WAY better than the standard).
- TubeMate (downoad youtube videos)

ooohh very nice this will keep me occupied going though all these thankies
as for its cost i got it via my contract as a free upgrade, im on £30 for 18months, if your thinking of getting it i highly recommend it, has a nice feel in your hand, its very responsive, no lag yet first phone iv seen that i consider on par with the iphones, which i would have got if it wasnt for the fact i have an ipod touch so no point having the same thing twice essentially this way i get apps from both sides of the table
