Hi guys,

I'm going to buy myself a smartphone for the first time.
Want it to be the cheapest, so around 25 - 30 euros/month, it doesn't have to be the newest model.
I really prefer a QWERTY keyboard, becuase I can't type on a touch screen.
What smartphone do you have/like?

Hints: Nokia E5, BlackBerry 9700.

I recently also bought my first smartphone, its a HTC Desire HD. Don't have any complaints, actually really like it. But I see what you mean by you can't type on a touch screen. Even on a 4.3" screen my fingers are too bulky, turning it sideways usually does the trick though. If you want one with a QWERTY keyboard I'd recommend the HTC Desire Z or HTC 7 Pro. The Dell Venue Pro also looks really awesome (quite expensive though)

All the hate on Blackberry

@OP: You should give us a bit of background info. What do you intend to use the phone for? Are you a student?

They'll both offer the same features, just one will put the emphasis on a specific perk while the other will do the very same with another perk. I personally couldn't care less if a phone lets me browse, I have a PC for that. As long as I can reach my friends, I'm happy. The rest are just extra features that shouldn't cost me my wallet.

That being said, I feel like people forgot what cellphones are for.

P.S: As for QWERTY phones, all Blackberries have them except for the Storm™ I believe. I do know HTC has the HTC Desire Z, a pretty sexy phone if you ask me.

You're dutch right?
if so, check out the Veronica Superdeal stuff or studentmobiel.nl. You'll probs easily be able to find something under 25 euros. Personaly i have an HTC Desire Z for €25,50 a month (180 calling minutes / 360 smses + 1 GB of data a month). My little sister recently got the HTC Wildfire S from the Superdeal site, €17,50 a month (180 sms es / calling minutes + 500 mb data a month).

Never been to fond of blackberry myself, i'd only get a blackberry if you simply really like the design.

Thanks, vriend! I will check out the Veronica Magazine and the website.
I went to Hi and T-Mobile today and found out that T-Mobile is a bit cheaper than Hi, if I want to buy the Nokia E6 for 2 years with 150 sms/minutes and unlimited data traffic (with Fair Use Policy of course).
30 euros/month actually. I'm going to check for other offers naaaoooo!

Swipe typing is the greatest thing ever created for touch screens.

Talking to my phone to type out what I want to say is the greatest thing ever created for touch screens.

I've tried using that a few times on my friend's phone, can't seem to get the hang of it though. :banghead:
