YouTube Video Upload

So I finally made a YT account and I wanted to post a few videos taken from a Canon Powershot SD1400(IS). The thing is, a 5 minute video runs up to about 400-500Mb on full HD settings. My question is, what's the best/fastest way to compress .mov format files into smaller sizes (about 1/10 of the original)? I tried RAD/Bink but the upload time on YT is much, much less than the time it would take to convert a 450Mb file to a 50Mb one.

Otherwise, I guess I'll have to start taking the quality down on the camera.

PS. It's a video of a guy screaming at me over the mic after losing 2-0 in a fighting game.

Let it upload overnight or use your universities network to upload it.

**I don't know much about video compression. :(
