I thought this series was one of the best series i ever seen in my life. Its a sad day to hear that Harry Potter has come to an end. I liked the last movie it showed a lot of action, fighting. This last movie let out all the anticipation of the last seven movies. I hope there will be another series like Harry Potter. All the good series are over. Pirates of the Caribbean, Fast and Furious , and Harry Potter. Transformers is all not done yet I'm not to sure but that's another series that i like.

I will place my rant here. I had VERY high hopes for the last movie seeing as it was the LAST one, but again, it falls short imo. Not saying it is a bad movie, and honestly it started off great. It's just that the ending wasn't as epic as I was hoping for and I shall explain why.

Spoilers! (Note if you want to copy-pasta this review, just put ~Goseki at the end of it plx.)

Spoiler!

no Shrieking shack annoyed me too, cant say a thing abou 3d since I didnt watch it as that. Overall I think that director really made movie different from the book kinda a lot, some things went well and some didnt.

One thing about the ending bothered me tough, in the books theres really the feeling that it wasnt all over after the battle, that there was still things to be done and ending wasnt just one quick finish perfect happy rest of the life for everyone, ending in movie sorta like made it happen simply. Voldy is gone, world is safe, we're ok now, everything is perfect, now ending credits...

Anyway, a great movie for sure but I liked the first one the most, atleast the actors were still cute and all.

Me and my gf both agree. +2.

The original cast was perfect. And I love how the first movie made it so surreal. Everyone actually wore robes all the time, not normal clothing. Small stuff like that helps make you feel like the movie was in a truly magical world.

It was decent enough and I'm glad I got to watch it in 2D. I really cannot stand 3D and I never got the point of it - IMO, it's the death of cinematography (3D is to movies as auto-tune is to music).

Moving on...

There's actually a 10-paged Harry Potter thread but that's been dragged too long with Hermione's beaver.

As for the movie, I'm probably one of the few who liked part 1 better (and it's my #1 out of all the 8 films). It was well paced and heavily focused more on the characters. At times, it was slow but I didn't mind it. It started well and ended well.

Have to keep in mind though that it's one movie split into 2. It's hard to judge one over the other.

However I still feel part one did a better job of keeping its story straight. I couldn't enjoy this movie simply because the director kept putting plot points that explained the story as the story progressed as statements from the characters to each other after the fact instead of during the battles (which IMO, these little tidbits added to the tension of each battle).

Spoiler!

Bit off topic:

Why are we using spoilers? Wasn't the book released like two years ago?

Using spoilers because the movies enjoy adding and taking away certain parts of the story. There's quite a few scenes and story changes in the last one.

Agreed, but none of it really adds any particular character to the story that the director attempted to portray.

The only entertaining part is the memory flashback of little Snape and Lily. I think that is a pretty good summary of the original book story.

For the rest of the movie, I simply O: (Start) -> -_- (End). Luckily I didnt watch in 3D imax.

i did not enjoy this one. For everyone one thing they got right they got 2 things wrong. I guess i should probably be looking at the movies as an interpretation of the book instead of an adaptation but it was really frustrating...

Volemort hugged draco. In what universe would that ever happen...

but if i didn't read the books and know how much they left out and didn't wrap up and ignored and got wrong then i would've found it a fairly entertaining movie. Much better than most of the HP films.

I have never liked Harry Potter. I have seen only one movie.
I like LOTR more, too bad it was only a trilogy.

And btw, i have never been a huge fan of Hewlett Packard either.
