Anyone using it? It's pretty big thing where I live and I finally started browsing it. I can totally see it become handy. For the ones that don't know, it's kind of like an eBay but that covers only your city. You meet up with the person and you always have to pay cash.

Spoiler!

Did any of you guys got a bad experience so far with it with these kind of websites/services?

My dad is always on kijiji. He's bought rocks, a fish pond, a truck, a boat, a tractor, a tv, two couches, a jacuzzi, patioware, a BBQ and more.

My only experience with it is SNES games and a Rogers cable box. Works well if you stay vigilant and don't get screwed. I wouldn't be able to take used furniture or a BBQ, but it's worked well for my dad.

Shit feels akward to meet the person though, there's always some sketchy people around.

I've used Kijiji a bunch of times.

The most awkward meeting that i've had was when me and a friend had to drive to the next down over, and meet in the Parking lot of The Super Store.

The girl i was with was buying a Sub for her car.

Other than that, it's good.

My dad uses it all the time, recently I just moved and the new place didn't have a microwave so my dad looked on kijiji, found one for $25.

I tried to sell my skyline on Gumtree which is like that and it was super awkward.

Everyone who came either wanted a test drive or me to lower the price by a lot or just came to look at the car and told me how good it was.

I'll never sell a car on it again, some random people called and asked to meet me in random places which I didn't like so it was just awkward.

Also people tried to swap cars for my car when I clearly said I wanted a cash sale.

kijiji isnt really like ebay, its more a free ad website, you don't "bid" on things... A few people that do bmx near my house have bought their bikes from kijiji without a problem, a another co-worker bought a honda accord 2005 coupe without an issue..

Here in Holland we have such a website, and had it since what... the beginning of the internet? :P

It's still incredibly popular and for a good reason, because since Holland is so small, there's a good chance you can do your deal face-to-face which is always nice.
