The kidnapper of American schoolgirl Jaycee Lee Dugard has been sentenced to 431 years in prison - and his wife has been jailed for 36 years.

Jaycee Lee Dugard was just 11 when she was abducted by serial sex offender Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy as her stepfather watched her walk towards a school bus near the family home in California in 1991.

The pair raped and held Jaycee Lee captive for 18 years. She gave birth to two daughters fathered by Garrido while he held her in a secret compound.

Yeah...well, the justice system caters to criminals. I turned on the TV this morning and what did I find? A sexual offender arrested for the 11th time for rape - again. Lol how are these people able to walk the streets freely? Then, when they get arrested, they get a slap on the wrist.

Considering how old this guy is, he probably won't be around to even finish a decent fraction of his sentence. I'll give him 10 years tops. Why not just make his remaining years as undesirable as possible? Oh yeah, human rights applies to these people too.

No one like sex offenders in prison(or at all?)they dont do well there, pay rent or get f*cked with 24/7(literal and figuratively)so he might get out before his sentence is over, but itll be ina bag.

Well, what's done is done. If I was her, I just enjoy the rest rest of my life(live a private life as much as possible) There are a lot of things you can do with 20mil USD.

What's wrong about reporters is that they gave the girl's name. When she go to the street or go to work, people would see her with pity eyes, days after days.

Its so useless to put a 431 year punishment on someone.

The guy's probs laughing as he really couldn't care less if he'dd get 25 years in jail or 50000000 years in jail. You can't fill a cup after it's full, you can't jail a person for more than a lifetime. So think of some different kinds of punishments, make him spent 20 years in a purely dark room on some bread and water or so >.>

people are shaped by their environment. most rapist/sex offenders were victims themselves, maybe not the case here, but it is in many others. point is they are humans. paying to punish people doesn't solve problems. only creates more.
