Pff, Iceland isn't peaceful. They stole Netherland's and UK's money and refuse to give it back, I don't think that's peaceful at all! Goddamn vikings

ireland in the top 20% does anyone realise the chaos they have had and stil have trouble with.
sure the IRA are gone but they have a **** load of fanatics stil around, just the other week they had 2 bombs defused, the country is divided. the protestants and catholics stil fight...some places in ireland are near war zones how is it peaceful!!

Also, how hard is it to be peaceful if your country is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by water, and you only have like 250k inhabitants?

No it doesn't matter that much. There is no war in the Netherlands. Regardless of what position we take on the list, it's the same to me. It's just that Iceland gets this 'honor' by default, so what kind of honor is it anyways?
