so ive been interested in astronomy lately and i want to get a telescope but i dont know what to look for in a telescope

I have a pretty good/expensive one but I got that as a present years ago so I don't have a clue.
What you do is you go to a specialized store/website, and just ask for advice. The people working there can tell you all that you need to know to make a purchase
