I can't believe there's no such topic on here yet, or maybe it is and I skipped it

but... anyone heard about the deranged bible freaks who think that the end of the world is coming on May 21st this year? They said it last year too then said the math gone wrong LOL. I guess now they got better calculators.

it's everywhere online and on TV and on the radio, it pisses me off... too much attention for a bunch of freaks.
I want to see the look on their faces on May 22nd. I will throw a party.

I'm not going to ask if anyone believes (maybe just NuclearSilo ), just wondering for you guys in US, how does this insane movement look from there, and have you bumped into any of those fanatics with placards yelling at you to become a better person before the end of the world? I see them on TV and I'm happy I live far away lol.

Pretty much because none of us care. We'll still be here May 22nd.

I can tell you for sure that the people who do this don't know anything at all about Christianity or the bible for that matter.

I can't remember exactly where, but it's said somewhere in the bible that no man will know the day by date or time.

So yeah, this is pretty much one huge fail.

I am with Itsune in this , i won't believe a 90 old in this not even 200 years old .

Specially if they are saying it will be in 1 year , 5 years , etc .
I "may" believe in let's say 40 years at least , not less than that
(but it is a small chance that i will believe in that one either unless he has a very very very strong proff) .

I spoke to one of my mental health professors about whether or not DSM-IV would consider these people mentally ill. We came to the conclusion that it's not a form of mental illness but rather a personality disorder. At least their "leader" has it.

I keep seeing the ad posters in the subway...it gives me a feeling of superiority knowing that every one of these gullible numb skulls are way below myself in the social pyramid.
