Disrupting class is probably in the student code of conduct and being sent home is probably the consequence. The real problem here is; why were his shoes disrupting class?

He says boys are allowed to wear heels at Riverview -- unless students are paying attention to the shoes instead of class.

I meant that more in the way of, "why were the students paying attention to the shoes". But that doesn't really need to be answered, we all know why, it just says more about the students than the school.

MrTwilliger wrote:Why were they even allowed in the first place? Not on the basis of personal choice, but in that of OH&S. When I was at school we needed to wear closed-topped black leather shoes. Wearing anything other than that was a breach of our OH&S laws. Considering the environment of a school (well my school, anyway) I could see someone tripping over every 3 seconds with heels on, not the safest thing ever.
