Maybe some of you noticed that I wasn't here this week, well if anyone was wondering I was on school camp (from the 3rd till 8th)

Made a similar thread 2 years ago when I went, maybe someone will remember, maybe not. Anyway...it was AWESOME! I'll write a brief summary of my experience, to anyone thats not interested skip to the spoiler instead for the pics.

Sunday morning (rain is falling..) had to get up at 6 am and get to school by 7. We got shit ready and left for camp! At around 3-4 pm we got there and got shit ready and went to do some ropes course. It was a bit dull Then us boys had a nice talk and we went to sleep pretty late, which we all regretted the following morning.

So its Monday morning and we all have to get up really early, at 6 again. We ate and stuff and went on a really long tramp (it took most of the day to complete) but here comes he awesome part, we climbed Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom from LOTR). I've climbed Mt Doom, have you? We were all pretty tired after conquering Mt Doom so we went to sleep really early that night.

Tuesday morning, same routine in the morning. We went kayaking and rock climbing on Tuesday, it was meh. Had a deep talk with some of the boys and thats about it for Tuesday.

Wednesday was definitely the best day of the week. We did an overnight, so we split up into small groups and walk to huts that are in the middle of nowhere and spend the night there. My group was the best, all my friends were there, we had the easiest walk (only 2 hours) and we had the best hut! That night was amazing, everyone in my group grabbed their sleeping bags and we went outside on the deck and watched the stars, fucking beautiful shit. You wouldn't believe how many stars there were...I mean WOW! (really damn cold though) Before we went to sleep the adults that came with us told us some scary stories about the bus driver...he did seem a bit...special when I first saw him. Really great night.

Thursday morning we actually got to sleep in! Woke up at 8 (yay) and started preparing for our walk back. Was raining heavily and had lots of wind, but still a lot of fun. After we got back, had lunch and stuff we went to the hot pools! Always nice going there after a long walk in the rain. Thursday night us boys all grabbed our mattresses and put them on the ground (we had 9 people in an 8 person cabin, so one person always had to sleep on the ground) and all slept on the ground together. And when I mean sleep I mean we didn't sleep, we just stayed up because it was our last night.

Aaaand thats pretty much it. On Friday we just woke up real early and went back to school. I got home at around 4 pm and was going to post this but I was too damn tired and just went to sleep and I woke up just a while ago. Best sleep in a while. Well hoped you enjoyed my little story about camp and if you didn't I don't give a shit because I enjoyed it!



I have way more pictures, took like 150, but my bro capped my net while I was gone and uploading just one pic takes several minutes. Maybe I'll upload some more in a few days.

Damn that looks really nice! Especially for a school camping trip thingy o.O Best I got at school was when we went to Barcelona for a week hehe =p Also if mailing does work fast you could mail them to me and I could upload them for ya.

Dude going to Barcelona is effing sick! You're so lucky. My school has a trip either to Japan or Spain every year but it costs several thousand dollars (NZD) and it only accommodates like 15 people so meh. But the camp site that we go to is owned by my school so its pretty cheap. And I effing love it there despite the cold! And dude, Mt Doom is just around the corner. FACKING MT DOOM!!!!!!

Oh and that thing about the mail, don't think it would work broski. I'll just wait a couple of days and see if anyone's still interested in seeing the pics then and if not well screw you all!

I always hated school camps.

Too much of a diva for camping and I get bored easily.

But weren;t you supposed to keep up with the News and Announcements?

Well, Looks like you had a great time! @Tsume

Nice story. God, I wish it was me... The best we get at this school is a trip to Berlin in German and at the third year a trip to London (at least better than Berlin). We were actually to go to New York but 5 people from my class thought it would get too expensive, and so my teacher decided that if 5 people didn't want to go, we might as well all stay home. What a jerk!
NOTE: We are 30 people in my class in total.

Anyway, upload more pics, looks like fun. I like the amount of Cola/Chips/Juice/whatever you got there, ha

Going to other countries is really cool imo you guys are lucky! And about the food, we have to cook our own food at camp so we were like fack that and all chipped in $20 for some junk food to last the week

Giving my camera to my mate tomorrow so he can upload the pics, I'll post some on here then.

You should be happy about that lol. Never went to another country with my school.

Went to a 6 day school trip to Paris with school last summer.

It was great, travelling + friends = awesomeness.

I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt, nobody noticed you weren't here.

Yeah, I guess I should. It's just... when you know you could have gone to New York, Berlin just doesn't seem that interesting anymore
