Made a similar thread 2 years ago when I went, maybe someone will remember, maybe not. Anyway...it was AWESOME! I'll write a brief summary of my experience, to anyone thats not interested skip to the spoiler instead for the pics.
Sunday morning (rain is falling..) had to get up at 6 am and get to school by 7. We got shit ready and left for camp! At around 3-4 pm we got there and got shit ready and went to do some ropes course. It was a bit dull
Then us boys had a nice talk and we went to sleep pretty late, which we all regretted the following morning.So its Monday morning and we all have to get up really early, at 6 again. We ate and stuff and went on a really long tramp (it took most of the day to complete) but here comes he awesome part, we climbed Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom from LOTR). I've climbed Mt Doom, have you? We were all pretty tired after conquering Mt Doom so we went to sleep really early that night.
Tuesday morning, same routine in the morning. We went kayaking and rock climbing on Tuesday, it was meh. Had a deep talk with some of the boys and thats about it for Tuesday.
Wednesday was definitely the best day of the week. We did an overnight, so we split up into small groups and walk to huts that are in the middle of nowhere and spend the night there. My group was the best, all my friends were there, we had the easiest walk (only 2 hours) and we had the best hut! That night was amazing, everyone in my group grabbed their sleeping bags and we went outside on the deck and watched the stars, fucking beautiful shit. You wouldn't believe how many stars there were...I mean WOW! (really damn cold though) Before we went to sleep the adults that came with us told us some scary stories about the bus driver...he did seem a bit...special when I first saw him. Really great night.
Thursday morning we actually got to sleep in! Woke up at 8 (yay) and started preparing for our walk back. Was raining heavily and had lots of wind, but still a lot of fun. After we got back, had lunch and stuff we went to the hot pools! Always nice going there after a long walk in the rain. Thursday night us boys all grabbed our mattresses and put them on the ground (we had 9 people in an 8 person cabin, so one person always had to sleep on the ground) and all slept on the ground together. And when I mean sleep I mean we didn't sleep, we just stayed up because it was our last night.
Aaaand thats pretty much it. On Friday we just woke up real early and went back to school. I got home at around 4 pm and was going to post this but I was too damn tired and just went to sleep and I woke up just a while ago. Best sleep in a while. Well hoped you enjoyed my little story about camp and if you didn't I don't give a shit because I enjoyed it!
