it's my first try, is it safe to get it to the bios' maximum? not for a try but to use it all the time overclocked.
Also I don't have the option that shows my cpu temp in bios, is there any other way to know it?

Bios max isn't always the cpu max. I recommend searching for a safe overclock for the same model and same socket. Also make sure you overclock properly with correct voltages, and frequencies for even the ram so they work in harmony. You OC according to FSB x Multiplier. Download Coretemp for constant temperature analysis and speedfan (i doubt it compatible with something of the age) to jack up speed of your fans to 100%

Why would you want to overclock it?
Do yourself a favour and trash it.

Coretemp isn't working with it, raised clock speed to 20% higher, then tried to physically check the CPU temp, and it really hurt my finger, now got it back to 1.7, gonna make another try after reading some guides, or maybe someone could share his experience here.

yup, we don't have any liquid nitrogen around here

it's doing fine.

Gotta love it, physical temp checks ftw !
Put a thermometer in with some battery powerd glowstick in it ! make it look extra cool while being able to measure temp :O

Can't tell if you're serious about physically checking the CPU temp..
