Career Choice

I'm doing a BA in Economics and will be done with all my courses for the major one year before my projected graduation date. However, I would still need to take about 45 more units to graduate from the university. My Economics major only has a 135 units requirement, but my university won't let anyone graduate until they have completed a total of 180 units. I can do those 45 units within a year, but I'm not sure what to spend them on. I want to do something productive with my time and not take any BS classes. I can't do another major because then I would have to stay for a fifth year, which I don't want to. The most appealing option is to pick a minor. I'm confused as to which minor I should pick. Which minor do you guys think best compliments an Economics major and would genuinely help(boost my chances) to get a job or get into an MBA program?

tl;dr -> Which minor best compliments an Economics Major?

Here is a list of all the minors my university offers. (Almost all majors can be made into minors)

Thanks in Advance :sohappy:

I would say a mathematics minor would be the best choice.

MBA, you already have a bit of a background for it.

Yea, I was thinking MBA would be good path. However, The main question I posed was "What minor you think best supports/compliments an Economics major?"

any particular reasoning behind your choice?

Well my first choice would have been Business Administration but they don't seem to have that. I did a little research for you and found out that math minors seem to pair very well with econ majors. Also my roommates with business majors seem to have a lot of math to do. Never hurts to show that you put the effort in to better your math skills.

No idea what to tell you and I think rightfully so because this is your future not mines. I find it very interesting that you came here to ask a life decision it must be really harder than it appears to be. Good luck. I believe you will find the answer when and if you can meet with people working in your field of expertise.
