I've started watching videos of it and I really want to get good at it. It looks so freaking sick when you're good at it. It dances great with electro/trance too.
I'm getting decent at the T-Step but can't do it to the left It also hurts my feet if I don't practice with shoes.
Here's a video for the ones that don't know what it is.

Is that the same kind of dancing they do in this music video?
And why do they have to touch their hats all the time?

Yes, and in fact, those 2 shufflers you see in scooter's clip a few times Sarah & Pae, Pae you see in OP's video They got really popular after their duo shuffle video on youtube (clicky), and here you can see the full recording for scooter's clip by someone who edited it : clicky!. Scooter found them on the internet and contacted them, and Pae & Sarah did a whole tour with scooter, dancing at the events in the tour. here you can see them in one of the bigger events in Hamburg towards the end of the video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbF8Bxjw ... re=related. Pae deleted his youtube channel for some reason though :/ His website is still up. I like some of scooter's tunes but most are a ripoff with his voice and him shouting "YEAHHHH". this is my fav scooter tune in years. However like I said in the trance topic, scooter's live events are insane, people go Farking mental and the noise always comes from his stage Look here at tomorrowland (I attended but not as his stage at the time of his set http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELk2BXjK ... re=related)
I'm a good shuffler, but that's because I whore events and I learned it over the years
The hat thing is just a habit sort of, it's really hard to keep your balance and rythm whilst taking off your hat, turning it and/or spinning it the other way on your head. That's why good shufflers constantly do it. It's sort of

i can do it albiet in a limited capacity i dont do well in the transition from shuffle to running man but stil shuffling alone i can do it. when my bro is here next il get him to take a video
also here is the video that got me into it
song: Food for Woofers (Ivan Carsten Remix) - Dark Oscillators
when i say i can do it im not saying i do it really good, i can do it well enough to keep it smoothish but my upper body needs work to make it look better
tip in the videos you see them going quite far accross left and right trying to do that is hard keep it small and compact when your starting off as you get better try placing your feet either infront and behind to add more movement. Finally keep it slow get your foot work right before you add speed and just work up 1 step at a time
if you manage to smoothly add in running man please let me know it always feel like a sudden stop and change rather then a fluid motion
//edit another tip have a song or songs to pracise with a slow song is no good, too fast and you cant keep up. scooter worked well for me the beats in certain songs where clear and easy to work with (personal fav to learn with was Jumping All Over the World) as time goes on you can try hard house or any bouncy song in b2t raves its rather easy to break out into a shuffle but elctro/trance stil rule dnb not so much dub step dont fit either

You posted an EDC 2010 video in a shuffling thread? Really? EDC 2010 was easily the worst of the entire life time of EDCs.
Rolled out E-tards don't know how to shuffle. Sorry, but the majority of "shuffle circles" at raves here are pathetic and pretty much just take up space.

Considering most people at raves are on LSD, does it really matter if their shuffling is pathetic?
Anyways, if I ever get good at it I'll just shuffle at local parties or what not, it's always entertaining to watch.

I don't see the big deal here....So someone decided to take MC hammer's running man move and Micheal Jackson moon walk and combine them....What makes this whole thing lame is that its just a one trick pony like the makarana that will soon die.

No. Those are just two basic moves. It's all about the transitions and what you add to it. Also, it's not likely to die soon, it's been here since the 80s (danced in Melbourne clubs) although it obviously went through changes ever since.

Most are on ecstasy due to it's effect as an upper. People take it to stay awake and dance way into the early mornings.

Ya the transition from running man to moon walking and back which is what I already said. Its just those two "basic" moves combined.... You want something spectacular when it comes to dance moves check this out..

Uh no.
I posted it because Doppleganger wanted to see girls do it, and in that video there's a girl shuffling. Not that she's good at it, but that doesn't matter in her case.

Now that was cool
For some reason I think all this shuffling looks/is kind of gay (and in many cases, looks plain stupid)... no offense to those who enjoy it though

last years EDC was the most epic, and considering it was the last one at the L.A Coliseum grounds, makes it even better.

Disagree. The only reason it was the last one at the Coliseum was because Insomniac fucked up and that girl died.
