Heck no, a week off from work = less money I have to pay bills, even though in jail you probably get free food.
Hennepin County Jail is also a pretty bad place to have to serve time.

soon, they are going to start charging people a daily fee to be in jail here. they will base the amount on the wage you were making prior to your incarceration.

If I had some serious debts, yes. If it is a parking ticket or something shit like that, no.

Isn't a jail like the cells you got at the sheriffs office and a prison the real deal with a shitload of other criminals?
Depends on how bad my debt is and if it'll all be done after that week xD I mean I wouldn't go to jail/prison for a few k or something rofl.

Jails in Holland are like hotels with bars covering the windows. You get good food, you can order anything you want (food, shaving stuff, magazines) from outside the prison and it gets delivered to you, you get cable tv, comfortable beds and neat cells, you get playstation/xbox and you can even finish almost every education you want in there. So a week in there doesn't sound too bad if I don't have the money to cover my debts.

nop, a friend of mine is now in Jail and he even gets 23 hours of free time, so he only has to spent one hour a day in his cell and the rest of the time he can walk free through the facility.

I find the prison in Norwegian expensive for tax payers, but at the same time good thing. Everyone knows a good majority of people who go to prison in the USA comes out worse and usually ends up there again. Their prison keeps the people from society, in which they caused problems. This allows them to stay sane. Though I can't guarantee without a proper study.
I'm only 18, and with the little debt that I have now, I wouldn't need to do it. Though if I was in my latter 20's I'd hit the slammer for a week.

I wouldn't go to jail for money, unless it's really much. I might sit there for a while to pay of a big ass debt if I could.

Swedish jails doesn't seem to bad either unless you are a rapist or pedophile, they get their asses handed to them.
But you get better food than the schools, you can finish what ever education you want, you can do different jobs and get payed for it. You also get to play various game consoles. So yeah, they are pretty relaxed.
Also, there was like 3-4 guys who broke out from their cells, well not really. The guards forgot to lock them and they just went into the kitchen, baked themself some cake and watched some television. They described it as a fun night.
