To elaborate this is what I pay for:
It should be 5 mbps but yeah let's pretend this is acceptable ( 2nd visible tab shows same results ). So the actual problem is that I have this "2.5" mbps connection but when I dl stuff particularly games I am stuck with about 300 kbps, but that isnt even really my biggest complaint. My biggest complaint is that guess what happens when you dl 2 games at once ? 150 kbps each, so yeah I have a wonderful cap of around 300 kbps of actual useful connection.
Is pretty rediculous that I have this 2.5k mbps connection and when I have 2 dls/any dl action nearing that 300kbps number in the background like mentioned in the previous citation my connection is actually capped, yes actually capped, as an if I try to load a youtube video it will take somewhere around 4 minutes to buffer every minute ( normally it buffers ~x3 times faster than it plays ).
So the more productive part of this post now, do any of you know of any way of actually tapping or utilizing your connection to the fullest ? I just started looking into this so I don't know if it's possible, or not or if any random software can assist with this but I'll be seriously looking into it over the next couple of days, also when my contract is up I will be looking for a new IP.
Said whore IP: AT&T
IP = Internet Provider, for those who don't know.
1 mb = 1024kb, so I am receiving about 1/8 or 1/16 of the service I am paying for.
