Palm Pre Plus not getting WebOS 2.0?!

Anyone out there have a Palm Pre Plus on Verizon? Looks like HP won't be releasing WebOS 2.0 for this phone. I'm hearing yes and no depending on where I read, but palm.com has a page where you enter your phone's serial number to check. No upgrade for me.

Although I did find this one page that has instructions for upgrading through WebOS Doctor by tethering to your computer. I'm not sure I want to try that...

I had the Palm Pre for Sprint.
Just got rid of it yesterday.
WORST. PHONE. EVER.
When I first got it 7 other friends had it. Now none of us do.
Do yourself a favor and get a better phone. I got the Samsung Epic. Very very happy now.

When I upgraded my wife and I to smartphones, I was deciding basically between the pre plus (upgraded specs from the sprint pre) and the droid. I wanted something with a slide out keyboard. Droid was $200 (second free). Pre Plus was $50 (second free). Pre won on cost. I just didn't have $200 to spend on a new phone.
I really don't have a problem with the Pre Plus itself. It'd be nice to get some software updates from HP for it though. I am at least able to make the phone better through homebrew software via Preware.
