Alright so everyone can laugh at me once and for all, even though I've been part of these forums for a while, until recently I didn't know what QFT meant, and I still don't know what AFAIK means...

To avoid the trolls, saying OH BRB = BE RIGHT BACK AHAHAHAHAHA

I know the obvious ones, but the ones used in forums only or very rarely on msn and such, can people list them? So I can learn what they mean?

While I was reading this topic it crossed my mind that I sometimes use "OP" referring to the person who started a topic but do not know what "OP" exactly means.

I've always assumed OP means Original Poster. Never actually checked it out though. Just seems to refer to the topic starter.

I don't doubt most people associate OP with original poster, but before that it used to be for Operator; the person with channel rights.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has always been for operator and people have just assumed that it is original poster.
