Watched half. half the time I could understand him properly because his uber geekness slang and the other half I didn't hear what he saying because of his voice and his slight speaking disability.

And my question again, what type of stuff do you have to learn to know the stuff that the guy in the video knows?

Uhh not much really
SSH is a way to securely share info between 2 things (ex computer and server)
uhh he mentioned VNC which basically lets you use a computer from somewhere else over a network
browser cookie files..well I'm sure you've heard of cookies and a quick google can tell you where to find them and how to dissect them.
he mentions some other stuff, keylogging etc
I know about all of these just from random research or use (i had to SSH to something while at my university because they blocked other methods of accessing)
but I guess if you went into some computer/networking related education you'd learn about all of this eventually.
