Ressing SRF Chat

Let's do this! Tell all your friends! Since the IRC is independent of SRF,
anyone can log in.
irc://irc.thehelper.net/silkroadhttp://www.silkroadforums.com/chat.php (for noobs)
Don't bother with nickserv, it's screwed up since the server moved.
If the Java client doesn't work you can try this:
http://www.wsirc.com/First click here.
Then enter this info and click login:

Hmm, dunno what to say. Java should just work as long as you have it installed. Your options are to try another browser or to use an IRC client.

Java never was very friendly to me D;
I'm quite sure I have it, but care to link me to the specific application I need in order to make it work?

Press "No" when the popup say something like "Should potentially unsafe components be disabled from running? (recommended)"

I recycled the link from chat because we never seem to make it work well.
1. A hype about chat begins and people actually use it
2. Dbags get into chat and chase everyone else off
3. Chat loses its hype and people stop using it
4. And then no ones ever in there
5. And then for some mysterious reason chat doesnt work
6. Chat goes ignored for some months.
7. Goto step 1.

get non-dbags to be chat mods?
as for the rest, that's how it always seems to work for IRC. Why chat in IRC if I'm typing in game - then I'd rather use Ventrilo or TS or Skype or something. I can't chat and hand grind at the same time!
