An oddity I just experienced with which words can not explain. This dream that I had was random and complete unknown origins.
In this dream I found myself fully undressed in my bedroom, here I witnessed a most peculiar phenomena, my index fingers both transformed into bright red caterpillars. In shock I could do nothing but watch these two creatures slowly inch away behind my television and under my bed.

Now that I find myself awake, I see that my fingers are attached and well on my hand, but could those nasty creatures actually be in my room as I type?

You mentioned it was a dream. Thus, the answer would be no.

The caterpillar fingers did not materialize in the real world.

Can flesh undo a chemical (?) transformation into which it materialises into the shape and form of a caterpillar? As well as inherit life and the ability to float away on will? The answer to your question is clear enough.
