Security issues

Ok, so my mom brings her purse into work, and one day her license went missing, and appeared the next week after she got home from work. But NOW, her debit card is missing and it has yet to appear. We think its some1 at her work place but have no proof.
How can I go about making sure her name isnt ruined because someone is taking her info?

Call the bank and cancel the debit card?

^^pretty much, thats the thing you should do right away, or else you'll lose some money.

cant you just put it on freeze?
check online for any suspicious purchases

hold the account, then you'll get a new debit in the mail, and then! report the missing license, they'll null that one (it tech does no good but for bigger things like credit card sign up (need a Social security or Birth certificate most the time though, the license number will be void) so yah good luck
