my girlfriend just txted me that she met my mother there.
so i'm relative with my girlfriend ._.
i never had any ideea.. i guess from now on it will be really awkward...

Why? I hardly know my family members aswell, besides direct family (sister / dad etc). I know who my cousin's are slightly from when i was .. 4-5 or so. Some families are less close than others eh?

My best friend and I are first cousins. For like, a year and a half we didn't even know we were related. One day she was going through her family tree and figured it all out. It was pretty surprising. Nothing happened between us though, so it's a different situation. But still, it is a bit shocking.
