The entire idea that we only use "20%" of our brains is completely inaccurate (as a correction to this movie, the myth is actually 10%, so GG on failing on the myth). But I will highlight the main point that it is in fact a goddam myth, it's not true. We don't use 10% of our brain. We in fact use all of it, every part of the brain has it's own function and role within the body. Whilst not all of the brain is used for intellectual thought, all of it is being used for body control, blood flow and every other goddam thing we do.

A few links, read over them if your interested.

Christ I could go on all bloody day..

The movie seems terrible. Sure, movie's aren't real, I know that. But this seems like they have taken an already inconceivable situation, made it even more impossible and then placed it in a real world scenario. Yet I know, I just goddam know, that I will hear people talking on Facebook saying "You know, if we developed the kind of technology in limitless we could arise to such a greater potential...". Just.. just gah!

EDIT: Erg, my half-assed explanation sounds worse than I thought. Just read the links if it's something your interested in. The main point is a mythical movie based on a myth seems really goddam stupid. Especially considering the 'scope' of the ambitions outlined by the trailer. This won't be a movie I plan on seeing.

Pretty good actor, ill watch it one day when i get bored, although it doesn't excite me much, since i saw Inception, in some way, it looks as if they are familiar with each other, maybe using the whole brain instead of 10% or 20%, dunno.

i have heard of multiple myths as far as the % of our brain that we use. pretty sure they can take the libery of saying 20%

Why are we even discussing if this is real? It's a movie, lol.

I believe the movie seems extremely awesome and I'm definitely gonna watch it once it comes out!

Its obvious the % thing is a myth, but it doesn't mean you cant make a movie about it. The idea is a good one and can make for an interesting movie.

Always thought they meant that we use 10% of the brain for independence thoughts, and that we couldn't control the rest is that way.

Wait movies aren't real? Does this mean we can't go inside other people's dreams? No Batman/Superman/Spiderman? No out of control train? No Vampires that glitter like a bejeweled sweater vest in the sunlight?

Thank you MrTwilliger for showing me the light.

Yeah pretty cool movie. I thought it was going to be a very cheesy SF story, but a pill that makes you smarter and more aware doesn't sound that cheesy compared to other things.

I liked the movie quite alot.

I was thinking about not watching the movie since I knew we use all of our brain, but ended up watching it. It was a pretty good movie, I loved the narration.
