Well, ive just finished watching this, and im a bit confused, i understood everything, but i missed the part about the item they have, to know if they are in a dream or not, in the end, he makes it spin, and it spins in around, in a circle, but then it stand still, turning around in that one place, so what did that mean, he is in the dream?

Their totem is something that only they know the weight and feel of. It's used to test if they are in their own dream/reality or in another person's dream. It will behave exactly as it should in thier own dream.reality since they know its characteristics, in a dream of someone else the characteristics would be off.

In the case of the spinning totem, it falls over in reality, but continues to spin when in a dream...

The ending is for you to decide. I've read many different theories.

Leo never dissapoints, one of my favorite actors, i didnt really like when it took place on that island (cant remember name), it was a bit boring for me, But Departed, Blood Diamond, etc are amazing

I don't know, we just watched the movie. I didn't look at the extra content.

You don't know for sure if it keeps spinning or not. The scene cuts before we know for sure.

In scenes where he is in a dream, he is wearing his wedding band. In reality he doesn't wear it. At the end, you can catch glimpses of his hands, no ring. His children's clothes also change, they arn't wearing the same clothes as in his memories. I think the totem does fall at the end and he is back to reality.

I guess we will never know for sure! IMO this movie one upped the matrix without 13 sequels.

Shutter Island it is. Well, I liked that one too. I was told its a bad movie but surely they didn't get the ending or sthg like that

I tried looking for the wedding ring/band on his hand to see if this theory was correct applied but I couldn't find any good scene that showed both his hands near the end =\

Being a fugitive all that time and finally coming home and seeing his kids, i think he was in his own idea of reality.
