What is the strongest CPU you know of?

I answered with a question. What the hell does "strongest" cpu mean? Meaningless.

I'm sure there's 50 core stuff out there, but intel i9 is the most powerful processor I know of not for servers and supercomputers.

Last I heard was Intel i9.

Thinking i9, then again I'm sure theirs much more "stronger" CPU's out their, my computer knowledge is so limited, I should take some time to read more into stuff like this, I want to major in Computer Science after all.

For private buyers i'dd also have to go with the top i9.

There is no such thing as an i9. i9 is the i7 980X (and 970?) hexcore. They dropped the i9 name.

I'm not that much into computers anymore. Last thing I heard from was a Quadcore. But I believe there are i#(a number) now. No idea what they all mean though.

That was the idea behind the survey though, dont google it

I had to use the term "strongest", to avoid "fastest", which could have caused some confusion.

Errrr, ok. 40-50 core ee chips put out by Intel. I don't know what they are called, or if I even have the core count correct.

Consumer chip? Hmmm, without googling I'm going to say the i7 980X (6 cores, 12 threads). But depending on what you're doing, maybe a Xeon chip, not sure.

But, strongest/fastest is still kinda vague. Faster/stronger at what?
