apperently, but they said they are gonna destroy the billion dollar air conditioned stadiums, sell them to africa, and transform them into golf stadiums.

If anyone wants any more evidence that FIFA is corrupt then look at who got the 2018 and 2022 world cups, the countires with the worst bids....yet the most money ¬_¬

They're quite high ranked, so I s'pose yes.
You should complain about Qatar, instead. Not only it is going to be terribly hot by then and not only trips to go and see matches will be UTTERLY expensive (flights for Qatar are really, really expensive and there only are five-stars-hotels and the desert in there, so not much to see whilst you're around), but I mean..seriously..Qatar? I've never seen them playing..didn't even know they had a football team.

England got 2 votes out of 22 and they where going in as favorites lol... The whole thing was fixed, how are you going to deny England hosting the world cup when it is clearly the best suited country in every way to host it.

England might be the best suited, but you couldn't really expect them to win after they continually get scandals. would have liked it to be there though
Disappointed about the Qatar vote. USA coulda won it, + if we had there would be 2 stadiums like 40 minutes from my house =(

It's not the word that i care so much about. I was more using it like a symbol for the lack of interest in football that many Americans have. Football isn't even in the top 3 most popular sports in the US. They don't deserve to host the World Cup.

it's not about how many soccer fans you have, it's about the feelin you get from it. When the Netherlands qualified for the finals, the whole country was in chaos. The whole country was thinking about the finals. It's something most Dutch people live for. Like how most Americans love/live for American football or baseball.
It is known that the majority of Americans isn't too fond of football and that's oke. But I don't think you deserve to organize the World Cup, which is like the crown jewel of football, if your country isn't footballcrazy.

I feel like it'd be almost impossible for more Americans to NOT become more involved with soccer if it had been hosted here.
