iPad vs gTab vs dStreak

So, in your right corner we have the Samsung Galaxy Tab, in your left corner the Apple iPad and in another corner the Dell Streak!!

I'd go for Samsung, since it's smaller than iPad but bigger than Dell (big hands yay) , foldable, you can call with it and other shizz.

Looks like the samsung doesn't have the ability to digital paint. So I'd go with ipad

other than the screen the galaxy tab beats the ipad in every aspect, only applefags or people haven't tried both are dumb enough to fall for the ipad

I don't like this device, a laptop would be better for me, or a mobile if I need something small.
But if i have to I'd get the gTab.

the Dell Streak isn't a tablet pc, its a huge ass smartphone that sucks, i'd rather see a playbook option there than the streak

but the gtab is also a phone, rite?
So, it's just like any other Samsung phone, only 4 times bigger.

no that gtab is classified as a tablet, and the streak as a phone, plain and simple. That'd make a the ipad a cheap giant phone, that can only use skype and no camera and shit.

As of now, I think the Galaxy Tab has been the only tablet that would even be classified as competition to the iPad. However, also as of now, I feel the Android OS isn't ready for tablet devices either. Maybe once Gingerbread is released this will change, but as of now manufacturers are mostly upscaling Android phone features on tablets. I think the main issue with the alternatives has been that while they concentrate on raising specifications and features (no doubt a good thing), the OS it runs on feels neglected and slapped together. That's the advantage the iPad has over other tablet devices- the OS. It's a modified version of the iPhone iOS, but it's modified specifically for the iPad so the overall experience is much more solid and polished than the alternatives. Spec-wise, the iPad is not much different than an iPhone, but once you actually use the device then specs become irrelevant because the OS ties everything together. App Store apps for the iPad actually do have more functionality than the iPhone/iPod Touch alternatives so it's not just upscaled iPhone apps.
Even after after about 8 months since the iPad's release, the iPad is still the tablet to beat and there haven't been alternatives worth mentioning or lackluster ones at best. Perhaps next year there will be better Android-based tablets with better OS support that will better rival the iPad. By then we'll also probably have the second iteration of the iPad with upgraded hardware, so it'll be fun to watch that play out.
