Harry Mulisch is dead.

You heard me!
The best writer the Netherlands had ever known, the second most worldwide translated Dutch Writer.
He died the 30th in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on an age of 83.

I still hate my teachers in secondary school for forcing me to read his books.
I have no idea why people think he's so great, imo his books are a big pile of crap.

Or you just don't like reading =p I'm sure I read some of his books when I was younger but meh, shame but couldn't really care less. Condoleances to his family if any roam srf.

When I was in VWO 6, the main book of my final literary exam was De Aanslag. I really enjoyed reading that book and I find the death of Harry Mulisch a great loss for the literary world.

They made me read siegfried D:
The book wasn't really in my taste, but I could tell the writer was not an idiot
. it's just too philosophical for my taste.
Either way, he's still a 1000x better than just about any other dutch novel writer I know. that's why I've plainly given up on dutch literature and switched to English.
