What's your stance on this?
Less than a week to go till the vote. I don't live in California, and I don't do weed, but I support the legislation 100%.

I support it for the fact that it would make the state of California a ton of money.
Also, weed would still be illegal according to Federal law, and it follows the same guidelines as alcohol. Meaning no driving while high, have to be 21+ to buy, grow, consume it.
I'll be voting yes.

In a more ideal world if you tried to actually enforce this you wouldn't have a life, fun observation.

Don't really care.
I'm still not sure how it will bring the state money though, the majority of weed comes from outside the U.S., illegally imported. Can't really tax something that you can go out and buy off the street.

i could just as easily buy tobacco from a farmer, does that mean they have a hard time taxing it and regulating it? i could easily buy wine, beer and whiskey from someone making it in their home. they still tax it and regulate it.

Obviously you have never been to California. The majority of our weed comes from right here ^^

Lol at everyone saying they dont "consume" it. Well I smoke weed. A fair bit lol. Just felt the need to say it =] While my reason is purely recreational, I do believe that there are some people that can benefit from it. As well as tax money being a HUGE plus, we're talking billions of dollars here.

I support it. Whether or not it gets approved, people are going to smoke it. If approved, it's going to generate more tax revenue for the state and it's also going to decrease drug-related violence. We can simply treat it the same way we do with alcohol.

May I ask(to the users of weed), why do you smoke weed?

i still don't see how it is going to get taxed if it's not being sold by a company/buisness/government.
Could someone give me a detailed explanation on how this can/might be done?
