I just tried it and it cost me $68 + 9,99 shipping. I spent $500+ for the ones I am currently wearing. If this works out, I think i'm going to get like 6 pairs.
I'm interested in any comments about the frame quality (are they chinese knock-offs?); and if anyone had to return them, how long did it take for your online retailer to process it?

500$+ for glasses?
68$ is cheap, but here most glasses are around $100, not 500$

$400-$500 is pretty much the norm here.
Although in Chinatown you can get a pair for $200, or visit a "boutique-esque" vision care centre for $800 designer glasses.

Wouldn't spend that much money on glasses online. I wouldn't have a problem spending money if it was in actual shop.

I just can't justify spending $70+ on a purely aesthetic product ((despite practical purposes, your post makes it seem like it;s just for fashion)when I can't even see what the final product would actually look like. I wear glasses for aesthetic reasons (my eyes are fantastic, I just wear frames with clear lenses) and I find it painstakingly difficult to find a pair I like even when I'm in a store. I couldn't imagine my indecision when it comes to buying them online >_<

Code: Select all
0:25-0:28...just the first thing that came to my mind when i read that
anyway i'd like to hear how this glasses thing works out. I've been thinking about purchasing a new pair, i think my prescription could do with a bit of tweaking and they're a bit small for me now, but cost are really the main thing keeping it off my mind because i can still see.

IIRC my glasses were 500 euro a few years ago. Haven't gotten new glasses since like 4 years atleast. That's frame and prescription lenses.

The glasses I had before now were Emporio Armani. I got them from Costco because they are cheaper (was around $400 too).
The problem is the quality. It felt like the coatings were made of glue and I spent my days under the impression that I was immersed in water.
The ones I have now are Alfred Sung, but I got them from Lenscrafters and the quality is a lot better. They get mugged up in the mornings but that's from my moisturizer.
