I'm bored and was wondering if anyone would wanna have a little computer fun.


What you need is:

A form of a virtual box with ANY OS
A Secret message to hide


What you do is make a VB and have a port open for specifically the VB+OS
have a secret message hidden somewhere on your virtual HDD

(Warning - If you wish to participate PLEASE CLOSE ALL ports except for your typical 80, so no "accidents" happen)

Hacker - You must find the file and give the secret message to the defender
Defender - Defend the message at all cost with that single port open

BTW this is possible, I'll be the first defender if you want, you just need to figure out how to get my message, I'll be running Backtrack linux, so lets see if you can get my message.

I'll give my IP if people are up for it

I would, but I have too many ports open that are necessary for my normal computer usage.
Although, this does intrigue me.

I'm not even gonna use a VB cuz I don't need too, I have a stripped down little netbook ready to be victimized , the VB is only a suggestion for people with only one computer

Also a good thing to do if you have another pc, use your router and DMZ the "game" pc and just run a propriety firewall

BTW a good hint to defending yourself...

Was gonna ask the same, but then I'd be temped =[ I only got one machine though and don't feel like putting a VirtualHDD on it.

just get vmplayer or something. its free and simple just install an os on the virtual computer and your set. i use virtualbox myself and always try to find ways to use them.

yah its only a text file, complicated enough to have fun, but not too complicated. I might even have the file encrypted though, but a simple encryption at most.
