Walking From school/work

So this year I've been sort of bored because I have to wait about 45 minutes after school for my bus so I can get back home. So I decided to walk home 3 weeks ago.
It is roughly a 2-3 mile walk from school to my house, I actually got home about 10 minutes earlier than the bus, and it is better for me in the long run.
So now I take the bus to school in the morning and walk home about 3/5 days of the week.
Does anyone else actually choose to walk, or are you to lazy?
noops

I take the bike. Other schools were way too far to walk so I either used the bike to or took the bus.

my school is on the other side of the next city, so walking would probably take me a nice 4 hours =/. I use the bus. If it's warm (minimum of C' 25) I'll use a bike.

My old school used to be only 2 miles from my house so many times i'd just go to the park then go home w/ friends
Now its like 3 miles and it takes more than 40 minutes so i just ride the bus.

Both ways...You mean 12 to the uni and 12 back? or 12 total. My old school was like 23km each way and my old old was 10/11 km.

Okay okay here's what's up.
I wait for the Bus 299 (Arbour Lake). Then it brings to me to the Crowfoot LRT Station(Train). From there, the train brings me all the way to "University" LRT Station (passing by Dalhousie LRT & Brentwood LRT). From University LRT Station, I walk about 10 minutes to my school.

i walk all the way from my room to the bathroom to take a shower, then all the way from the bathroom to the kitchen for breakfast, then all the way from the kitchen to the bathroom to brush my teeth, then all the way from the kitchen to my car.
i drive to everywhere that is outside my house except (sometimes) the market which is like a block away.

I do walk from school to home, its quite near really, like 1.1Km away. And some passenger drivers passes by and recognize me from afar with my signature "Bag-on-Butt" carrying style - going to home. well that was before, when classes end at 6PM and there is still sun light and no heat.
But since i have a new sched. and classes stop at 3PM during Teu-Thur, i cant stand the heat, its like 73 degrees and the suns' at its peek and hottest. Probably resume walking next semester where i hope i can land a afternoon sched. where i can walk. It saves me money and did an exercise which is kinda healthy

When I was a secondary school student I decided to walk instead of taking a bus. It took me 30 minutes to get home from school(or school from home), so it wasn't short at all.
Now I'm studying at University in Budapest and I have no choice, I have to take the tram to get home otherwise it would take me around 3 hours, it's long enough with tram aswell(around one hour).

Bitches!!
I drive to my trainstation every time I go to school, which is 3 days a week. I park my car there and then take the train to Amsterdam. After that I take the subway for 2 stations, then I walk 10-15 minutes to my course building.....
I don't like it it's to goddamm long............... Takes me about 1 hour and 10 minutes in total starting for my place to my course building.

I take the bus/subway to work/school. I don't mind the walk since my schedule gets so tight on some days that I don't have time to actually exercise. All that walk keeps the weight down. =p
I usually take a car service/yellow cab only if I'm either running late, in a hurry, or heading for the airport. Or if the company is paying for it.
It's a bad idea to drive to school/work since it's a major pain in the ass to look for parking space - for a few hours, it can run me for $10-$30/day (not including gas). Not worth it at all.
Daily Travel Time: 1 hour (average one way)

My Collage is about a hour and half away from home, with a Microbus, but I usually walk when my destination is a mile or two away, I hate waiting for a ride so i usually prefer to walk.

Lets see, first, I work nights, so pretty soon, when it starts getting cold, that would be a death sentence most likely, hell if I still worked days that would be true still on some days. Second, it's 15-20 minutes driving on highways at 55-60 mph, I'd spend more time of my days walking than sleeping.
